# It's been a long time..
Saturday, September 15, 2012 / permalink
Yeah. Judging from the title, you know it's been a long time already. Probably like 2 months and a half since I left the U.S. A lot of things has happened since then. Becoming a Pre-Law student. Gahh, it is so tiring. I wonder if I were ever this hardworking before? Guess not. Well, I certainly hope I am still gonna be hardworking since final week is coming up pretty soon.

Over here, it's totally different. With a large number of Muslim population, it's hard to see a girl without a headscarf/tudung. Also, my blond-ish hair became a target. Everywhere I go, people would look at me as if something was awfully different. Naaaaah. So I dyed it back to dark jet-black.

With finals coming up, believe it or not, I have been lazier lately. Hmm. Well, I need to get myself up and surely need to work my ass off for the finals. GOD, I hope everything is gonna be fine for me for this upcoming weeks. Amen... Till then, see ya!

P/s  Gonna review about most of the things here when I finally get back for the semester break :)

# I'm gonna miss COLORADO :)
Tuesday, June 26, 2012 / permalink
Colorado. At first when I got my host family packet, the first thing I looked was which state would I be hosted : Colorado.? I knew nothing about Colorado! Oh how I wish I was hosted in California, just like some of my friends. How wrong was I!! Colorado is such a nice place. I also got the nicest host family one exchange student could ever have. I'm so thankful and blessed to meet this people. Well, in a few hours I'm gonna head to D.C and have my 3-days orientation there. Then, I will go back to Malaysia and then I will go straight to university. As much as sad I am right now cause I don't wanna leave all the wonderful people here in Colorado but the thought of going to college really freaks me out. Oh gosh! Am I actually ready for college? I don't know. Will I like this university? I don't know. I have to change my hairstyle and dye my hair black. Uurgh. Such skema university! Now, I don't actually have the confidence to go to college BUT till when do I have to wait? The path is gonna be the same anyway so why waste our time, right? And I also thought, THIS or NOTHING.

I'll just pray to God that everything is gonna be just fine. You never know what life can lead you to. Dream big and expect less :)

# Chinese Food :)
Friday, June 22, 2012 / permalink
Last Tuesday, I had Chinese food at P.F Changs or should I call it 'Americanized' Chinese food. Enough said, it was good! Although it's kinda Americanized a bit but I still thought that the taste was just incredible(perhaps, because I haven't had Chinese food for a VERY long time). The design of the restaurant was a bit 'over the top' as I would call it(even the fancy ones in Malaysia would not look like this). Perhaps, they were trying to make it look a bit like China or something. Oh, it's a restaurant and also a bar. There was something on the menu called "Singapore Street Noodles". What a fancy name I thought to myself. Well, turns out that it was actually that normal mee-hoon that my mom usually cooked for breakfast almost every weekend back home. LOL. Anyway, the service was good & the waitress was awfully nice! If you turn out to be in Colorado Springs and were craving for some Asian delicacies, I would definitely recommend this place for you!

Front view of the restaurant. Cool ain't it?

The beautiful interior design. Mesmerizing huh?

# Feels Better~
Anyeong everyone! Today I felt much much better since I found my phone(I lost my phone yesterday). I kinda felt frustrated yesterday cause I have to deal with so much stuff and all of a sudden my phone got lost. Thank God I found it today!

Now the important story in my life is, I have to decide whether I want to go to University(they call it college in the U.S) this year OR stay at home for a lil bit longer then go to college. Hmm, I don't know. Don't wanna think about it right now. Let's talk about something else.

Okay, so I am currently volunteering in this ELL(English Language Learners) programme as a tutor at Lewis-Palmer Elementary school. The programme is to aid students in United States who don't speak English as their first/native language. I confidently volunteered, since I know I have nothing to do during the summer so I thought, why not? I enjoy it a lot. I meet a lot of kids from different places all around the country. This are the kids who were brought to the United States because they were refugees back home. One of the kids that I taught, Jeewan Rai is from Nepal. He was one of the kids who live in the refugee camps in Nepal. He and his sibling are here while his parents stay back home. It's so sad that they have to leave their family behind and move to United States in search for a better life. I hope all of this kids will become successful one day.

Anyway, long story short, I had fun volunteering today. I'll be volunteering for the rest of the week and also on Monday next week. I'll be leaving Colorado next Tuesday( :( sad i know).
See ya again little roller coaster life :)

Lewis-Palmer Elementary School. Oh yeah it's summer time!
